Tony is one of the many characters here in Hedland. (Hedland is used as a collective term for those who live in Port Hedland proper and South Hedland..) He is someone I met at Thursday night dinners at the church. He is a training consultant, spanniel owner, Ulysses' member, father, husband, jet skier and most importantly, a hoarder. Complimenting Leah's nak at picking up bargains at Vinnies, Tony is more of the mechanic/workshed hoarder.
When Tony found out I was having trouble pumping up my tyres (K-Marts pump was woeful and Caltex pump too large), he immediately called demanding I come round so he could fix everything. Two hours later, not only were my tyres back to working order, I had a lecture on keeping my chain lubricated, new lights (which he pulled my an esky full of old bike lights?!) and instructions on where to ride safely.
Tony has more bits and bobs in his back shed, throughout the house and in his front yard. So this post is dedicated to bits and bobs. Bits and bobs of things I've found in the last few days.
Thank you Tony!!
