Would you believe it rained in Port Hedland over the weekend?! Having just arrived back from Melbourne where I cycled in hail, I was thoroughly looking forward to warm (hot), consistently cloud free weather. But the climate powers must have known I was preparing to have a stall selling cushions, and rearranged their water schedule. Actually, it didn’t really matter as we were in a good position, right opposite the gallery and luckily not down the wind tunnel. Ok get to the point already Katie.
Over the past few years I have secretly (not so secretly to my beloved mother who houses this habit) been purchasing endless amounts of fabric. Predominantly used for weddings, I have also stock piled the more outrageous patterns, to compliment my love of colour. Anyhow, on moving to Hedland I wanted to ensure Muesli and Yoghurt lived on in some way… enter cushion covers. A lot of the fabric is from Africa, Scandinavia (Marrimekko features strongly) and Italy. Plus a few little bits and bobs from the US. So far I’m selling cushions which are medium square (40cm x 40cm), large rectangular (65cm x 35cm) and large bad boys (70cm x 70cm). If you’re interested in ordering covers online, then shoot me an email. The prices range from $40 - $130. I’ll shortly have the fabric varieties online.
But wait there’s more.
If you’re interested in a cute fimo necklace, they too are available to order online.. $25 for rope and $35 for chain with 5 – 7 of the most cute little beads.
Now bring on more rain!
